Delete account

Effective date

Version
v1.0

How to delete your plantcrew account, and what is deleted and what remains when you do. You can delete it right in the app, or apply with the form on this page if you cannot use the app.

1.Delete your account in the app #

You can do this right in the app, under "Delete account". Before you do, please read 3, "Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription".

  1. Tap the profile icon at the top right of the screen to open "Profile settings".
  2. Scroll to the bottom of "Profile settings" and tap "Delete account".
  3. Under "Why are you leaving?", pick a reason. If you pick "Other", you need to write the reason; "Anything else? (optional)" can stay empty.
  4. Tap "Delete account", then tap "Delete account" again in the "Delete your account?" window.

The owner of a crew that has members cannot delete their account right away. If you see "Hand over or close your crew first", hand the crew over to someone in the crew screen (they will have 7 days to subscribe) or close it, then delete your account.

2.If you cannot use the app — apply here #

If you have uninstalled the app or lost your device and cannot delete your account in the app, apply for deletion with the form below. You do not need to sign in on the web. Once we confirm the request, we start deleting the account within 7 days of receiving it. From then on it is the same as deleting it in the app: the account is deleted after the 30-day grace period, and what is deleted and what remains is as described in 4 below.

We cannot take requests right now — please email us (admin@hannunplant.com).

If you cannot use the form, email admin@hannunplant.com. Use "Delete account request" as the subject, and tell us how you sign in (Apple or Google), the nickname you used in the app, and the email you signed up with. If you signed up with Apple's "Hide My Email", please say so.

Confirming it is you

We use what you give us to find and check the account and, if needed, reply to that email to confirm it is you before we process the deletion. We never ask for passwords or verification codes, so please do not put them in the form or in an email.

3.Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription #

  • Deleting your account in the app does not cancel an App Marketplace subscription. To stop payments, cancel in the App Marketplace before deleting the account.
  • A subscription is tied to the App Marketplace account that paid for it, so the Company cannot cancel it for you.
  • You can go straight to cancelling from "More > Manage subscription" in the app, or use the addresses below. To stop automatic renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the next renewal date.

4.What is deleted and what remains #

This is the same as Privacy Policy, 3, "Retention and deletion".

  • When you delete your account you are signed out immediately and leave the crews you were in, and photos you added to the encyclopedia are taken down at once. If you sign in again with the same account within the 30-day grace period, you can restore it; you will need to be invited to crews again.
  • When the grace period (30 days) ends, we delete your personal information, plants, diary entries, records, Crew Q&A posts and photos uploaded in plantcrew. Photos that have passed to another user remain that user's, and photos in posts under a report or dispute are kept until it is resolved and then deleted.
  • Care records and notes you left in someone else's crew remain in that crew as records from a "former crew member".
  • Account deletion request details (the email and note you wrote in the request, and so on) are kept for 30 days after the request has been dealt with, and then deleted. A request is dealt with on the day the grace period ends if it was approved, and on the day it was declined if it was declined.
  • Records the law requires us to keep are stored separately for the periods set by Korea's Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and used only for that purpose: records of contracts and withdrawals for 5 years, records of payment and supply for 5 years, and records of consumer complaints and disputes for 3 years.
